Apply to Jazz à Tours

You want to join our school for the 2021-2022 school year, in the Professional Musician course. Whatever your projects are, you must pass a selection that will allow us to adapt the course to your needs, according to your level.

Application

To apply please:

  • fill out the form below
  • send a check for 50 € payable to Jazz à Tours to the following address: Jazz à Tours - 8 rue Jules Simon 37000 Tours.

The registration and the sending of the check must be made no later than Monday, April 5, 2021 (postmark as proof). Any incomplete or late application will not be considered.

Selection

After reviewing your application, you may be invited to a videoconference interview.
This interview will last 15 minutes, you will be greeted by the members of the jury and the person in charge of training, this exchange will complete your application. We will come back to the elements of your file and approach together your training project and your professional project.

The interviews will be held by videoconference and will take place from Saturday April 24 to Thursday April 29, 2021 (link of the video sent by email in mid-April)

After having passed the video interviews, you may be invited to participate in additional hearings including a practical test and theoretical tests (see doc in attached files). To do this, you will receive an invitation by email at the beginning of June specifying the day and time.

These auditions will take place from Monday June 28 to Thursday July 1, 2021 at Jazz à Tours.

Mid-July, a proposal adapted to your level will be sent to you by email.

Funding

The Center-Val-de-Loire Regional Council finances the course of 20 students for a period of 2 years with a view to obtaining the Mima diploma.
Among those selected for the audition, the jury will select the 20 candidates who will benefit from this funding. These trainees undertake to follow the entire course over 2 years.

For others, all vocational training funding mechanisms can be requested depending on your situation:

  • self-financing
  • intermittent show (AFDAS
  • job seeker (AIF supported by Pôle Emploi)
  • employee (CPF and CPF transition)
  • under 26 (local mission)
  • disabled worker (AGEFIPH)
